Days 18/19: Get Back up!


I love Maya Angelou..she always knew exactly how to word things...

This pretty much sums up my last few days this week..i have been thrown a few whirlballs the past few days..and yes my diet choices have suffered some..however i know that I am almost at the end of my first 21 days and that I have come so far..which means I will prevail!!

So here we are on days 18 and 19
Of 21!! Woohoo!! The finish line is near! People ask me is it hard?? Well what exactly is considered hard? Death? Grief? Loss? Those things are all hard..this is NOT hard my friends..this is about a lifestyle change..there is no magic pill..there is no quick fix..this is just the foods we are meant to eat fueling our bodies :)

Day 16: Arm day!


Woohoo, it's ARM day!!!! Another one of my favorite days...why you may ask?? Well because summer, aka tank top season is right around the corner :) And who doesn't love some sweet arms on a female?? Strong is the new skinny!!!

So now it's time to work on that booty!!! I am so excited because now I can choose from any workout that I want when I want with the new BeachBody on Demand! If I want leg workouts, I can choose from a bunch of DVDS now right from my home laptop or phone, simple and easy!

Day 15: it's the FINAL stretch!

Happy Monday all!! Time for some Monday Motivation! Remember your beauty is not measured in pounds!! And you mean so much more than that number on the scale! Embrace the fact that you are able to nourish your body and take care of it..because it truly is a gift! πŸ’–

Today marks my last 7 days on the CTC plan! I decided to add in some extra abs and cardio this week..I cannot wait to see  everyone's results! 

This week is all about the final push..the final run to the finish line and the final fight! So many people would have given up by now when they think of foods or things they cannot have..instead I like to think of all the things I CAN have! I can have strength when I am feeling weak, I can have faith when I am feeling low, I can have encouragement when I am down..keeping positive in every day life sets us all up to succeed no matter what our goal is! Have a great week all!! I will be checking in on everyone! And let the final push continue!

Day 13 and Day 14: ohhh the weekend!

Hello Daylight Savings!! 

So if i could sum up this weekend in a few words it would be ..hectic..busy..limited time..limited food choices..and while it could have been a much worse disaster...it just didn't go as planned..bummer!

The main issue with my foods was that I had no access to heat up my proteins :(
So while I prepared well, It was kinda out of my control! The cold pork and chicken just flat out stunk! πŸ‘Ž

Today was much better..but add in the time change and realizing at 3pm you have only had one Red container when you need 6 a day πŸ‘Ž..disaster again!

The good thing? Tomorrow is a new day..and it's MondayπŸ‘ i know how great I have felt on this plan the past 14 days and that will continue to push me farther..oh and how is it 5pm already?? And it's light out! ☀️ bizarre!
Whose in for the nice week of weather! I know I am!! Sun and warmer weather is definitely what the doctor ordered!!

It's Friday..Friday!! Day 12!

Wow I cannot believe we are 12 DAYs in!!!! What i cannot believe more is that yes while I am down a few pounds..I have been 100% faithful to this plan!! 😜 that's HUGE for me guys!! Because you do NOT understand..i LOVE i mean I LOVE sweets..and never thought in 21 days that sweet tooth would be vanished...like that extra roll on my thigh-cha-ching!!

So another weekend is upon us, and I have to say I am pretty scared because I will be traveling all weekend..usually when I am gone for the weekend I PLAN on eating healthy..but things derail FAST! No worries..i will NOT fail you guys! πŸ‘πŸ‘
I am gonna pack my foods tonite because tomorrow is a CTC day..which means I need 100% on my A-game! ✅

With a little time and preparation, i know i can and WILL succeed! 

The only bummer is that my workouts will be on hold today and tomorrow..but I wont be sitting for much so that should hope balance that out! πŸ‘

Day 11: LEG DAY...one of my favorite days:)

It's LEG DAY! And day 11 on 21Fix Extreme CTC plan! Commitment definitely delivers results! πŸ‘✅πŸ’ͺ

I can say for once I am super excited for shorts season! One of my favorite quotes from today is .."we don't quit when we are tired..we quit when we are done." 

This is so true! I upped my weights today to 12 and 20pds and I was tired..my legs were giving out..but my mind stayed in the game and I pushed to the end! I love love love seeing all the changes that can happen when you put yourself in the game at 110%!!


As far as my foods, I have seemed to keep alot of my meals the same during the week...reasoning being its just more fast and simple..I love the diced chicken breast for lunch with some cottage cheese (1.5 red) along with a veggie of some sort..the mustard is free and adds some ZING!πŸŽ‰

I make sure to keep my tracker at my desk all day..If I eat it, I track it..simple as that! That way I can't sneak in a few treats and not know it LOL 😳

Day 10: Almost halfway there:)

I cannot believe we are already 10
Days in! My challengers are killing it! We have cleaned up our diets and we are all have amazing results! πŸ‘πŸ‘ Everyone is right on target and I couldn't be more
Proud! This is my motto for today..keep going! We are halfway there and the finish line is near! You have come this far, so why stop now?

Many people are asking what are some of my favorite daily foods!πŸ‡πŸŽπŸπŸŠπŸ‹πŸ‰πŸ“πŸ‘πŸˆπŸŒπŸπŸπŸ πŸ†πŸ…πŸŒ½
Think perimeter of the grocery store! That's it! All your fresh, wholesome goodness is filled with colors and flavor! I was once told if you think about all the processed foods out there, they really are all bland looking..I never truly thought about that until I put the cookies, crackers, white breads, etc etc next to my red peppers, green spinach and kale, red berries and so on! And now I see it truly makes a TON of sense!! The more colorful the food the more nutrition you are getting!! 

I am feeling better and stronger every day! And that's all that matters! πŸ’ͺπŸ‘

Oh and speaking of feeling strong (and sore) have you ever taken an Epsom bath? I took my first bath in about 15 years tonite! It was an Epsom lavendar soak and was well needed and deserved! A great way to relieve those sore muscles  is to soak them! An Epsom bath is just what the doctor orderedπŸ™

Day 9: Carbs..Carbs..Carbs

Day 9 on the CTC plan and I am feeling the love for some carbs today! It has been 9 days since I started this plan and while I have lost all cravings for crap (woohoo me) I really am craving the fruits on those CTC days! πŸŽπŸπŸ‡πŸŠπŸ‹...But I think that is a GOOD sign when you crave fruit!! πŸ‘πŸ‘ instead of craving the other stuff (chocolate chocolate and chocolate--eeek😳)

My body is definitely tired and sore today!! I overslept my workout but am listening to my body..I required the rest..and rest is GOOD!! This is always a hard concept to learn when first starting out. We always want to go-go-go and when our bodies are tired, they show it in so many ways..It's okay to miss a workout when rest is required.πŸ’€πŸ’€

Sidenote...BTW here is my new best friend..Mentos gum! I have no idea why but I am obsessed with it...probably because it adds some fake sugar taste in 😳

Day 9 on 21 DFX and wowzer did I find a doozy! This is like rich and sweet chocolate-ness heaven!! PB and J Shakeology for my mid afternoon snack!!
Ingredients:
1 scoop of Chocolate Shakeo
1 cup (purple) of grapes
2 teasp. of PB
1/2 c unsweetened almond milk
Lots of ice to taste

Day 8: You can't outrun a BAD diet!

Happy Monday! Wow this saying is so very true! This program has taught me so much about how much nutrition plays a part in this whole process..and it is soo true you CANNOT outrun a Bad diet! Why are you spending hours at the gym while feeding yourself crap?? I 100% believe in the 80/20 rule..however I had hit a major plateau and wanted to see just how Far I could push my limits..and wow have I ever! 

I use to suffer from the Monday food hangover..what is that?? Well you know where you enjoy the weekend and feel so bloated and like hell on Mondays? Yep that was me! But not today! I can say I feel refreshed and ready to power thru the week ahead! 

So quit outrunning your BAD diet! If you wanna see results, you need to FOCUS in on your nutrition! Food is fuel people!! If you don't know whats in your food..then DON't eat it...plain and simple!!

i am Starting Day 8 on the 21DFX CTC plan and feeling great! i know that i am trying my best..and gosh darnit that is all that matters!! I am fueling my body and giving it the correct balance of nutrients..put in the time and the results will come!  Happy Monday all!!

It's MARCH MADNESS time :)

 

Welcome March!!! I sure hope this month brings us some warmth and SUN!!!! For alot of people, March means spring break, fun fun!! This is also the time when we pull out our summer gear from last year and say...OH OH...what happened to me over the winter??? Well, no worries!!!!  21 Day Fix and 21 Day Fix Extreme is HERE!! Give me 3 weeks, and you will be back into the shorts in no time!!!!

I am on Day 7 today of the Extreme Plan..things are going good!!! Today I will swap out Yoga Fix for the Fix Challenge..This month I am also stepping up my game with the addition of T25/Max 30 on most days! I have 6 weeks roughly until the BeachBody Success Club Trip to Cancun and this is serious, kids!!! While my overall goal is not to lose weight really, it is to continue with my clean eating diet and overall toning..like Autumn says that bikini is gonna look smokin' :)

So today is Sunday which means it is a meal planning day...especially on a snowy day like today the kitchen will be busy prepping...I will then make a second batch of my foods during the week as well as next weekend I will be away...This will make sure to keep my diet 100% on track and help me with the evil vending machines while at competition :)

I love to keep my meal tracking and planning simple for the week...I print out the worksheets on Teambeachbody.com and use the eating plan book:)
